comments & kudos

Sheri-Anne Jacobs: Thank you for such an inspiring and encouraging book. I have/am not in the same situation as you but it was so interesting to read and had a lot that I can learn from and keep in mind.

Mark Gleeson: I have just finished reading your book. It was very moving. Many congratulations on the ability to pour it all out onto paper and to tell us an emotive story with such lucidity.

Judy Miller:  I found the honesty riveting. I feel your story strongly represents a perspective of the adoptee’s voice.

Donna Horne: Just finished your book. To tell you the truth, I couldn’t put it down – which means I had to read it every minute I could grab between my work ! Congratulations again on getting your book published. I know it will help a lot of people.

Michelle Skinner: A MUST MUST read for those of you who are also adopted. That is MY life if I had written that book. WOW!! Such insight and passion, as well as truth and heartache. God does NOT make mistakes. I am NO mistake!! Thank you Aurette.

Ian Hughes: A harrowing tale told exceptionally well.

Joy Momberg Hausberger: I read your book and enjoyed it very much.

Jeanette Bateman Patsalosavis: I read your book and it was great. It came at the right time in my life.

Adele Hamilton: I enjoyed the emotional veracity of it very much, and I feel that this is a topic that gets far too little air.

Rina Bowes: Your book is fantastic.

Danise Smit: Really written beautifully… had me in tears a few times. I would never have imagined how hard it must be for someone who was adopted (even if they knew from when they were little) before I read this. You can be very proud of yourself for writing this and how it will help others.

Evelyn Furter: I read your long-awaited book and couldn’t put it down.Very well done and captivating. Sean, you are very special to support Aurette so much.God bless you both as well as your kids.

Jenny Nel: Just finished your book. I found it quite thought provoking and an interesting take on something that affects thousands of people. Well done on your achievement, I hope that the dark days are getting fewer and fewer and that seeing your experiences being shared with others gives you some closure.

Ansie Vicente: I honestly believe you have opened up a way for other people to experience God’s love in situations like yours.

Fred Bergh: Even though I was closely involved with Aurette and her family throughout her whole adoption experience, when I read her book I found myself eagerly turning the pages, impatient to find out what happened next.

Rob Saunders: A poignant and poetic title.

Ian Bowes: Your book has the most fantastic cover and I’m sure that the idiom: ‘you can’t judge a book by its cover’ will be totally irrelevant in this case. Can’t wait to read it!

I am so silly – have just seen that you do have your book in SA at Exclusive books – will definately be buying book – will be in touch afterwards. God bless you you are very special!

    • Hi Margie It’s wonderful to make contact with another South African adoptee. Thank you so much for your interest in my book. I wrote it specifically for South African adoptees because there is no literature on adoption available for us. Please note that it can only be ordered from Exclusive Books online at this stage. Gospel Direct has expressed interest in retailing the book in their stores and are currently in negotiations with my publisher, so here’s hoping! When you’ve read the book, I’d really love to hear your views. God bless Aurette
